Bespoke Tension Springs

Our tension springs are crafted to provide specific forces when stretched to particular lengths. They range in size from 0.03 to 22 millimeters in diameter for static and dynamic loads.

Custom sizes and designs are available upon request.

 Product Features

  • Pre-Tension: Our cold-coiled springs come with adjustable pre-tension that must be exceeded before the spring starts to extend.
  • Loops: We offer various end types like loops and hooks. Other options include coiled-in and screwed-in attachments, such as: Half hooks, German loops, English loops, Extended hooks, Side hooks, Side loops, Screw plugs, Screw shackles.

Material overview

Tension springs are typically made from spring steel (Class C 1.1200, EN 10270-1-SH) or INOX 302 (1.4310, EN 10270-3-SH), with other materials available upon consultation.

As an alternative for expensive material, often the wire/spring is made suitable for an application by use of a surface treatment. The most widely used surface treatments are: galvanising, phosphating, nickelling, chroming, powder-coating, tinning and silvering/gilding. Alcomex always carries out these treatments in consultation with specialised partners, in order to guarantee the quality of our spring products and solutions.
